Yesterday I saw the pilot of the new Supergirl series and I thought it was cool though it had some cheesy moments.

I started out by disliking and criticizing this series, but I couldn't stop watching it.
Now I love how much super-hero stuff it has in it: yes, there are cheesy moments, but they are the minority (while they are taking more and more room in "The Flash", sadly).
Also, Supergirl is an actual superhero: she' s clever, she knows how to use her own powers, she actually fights her enemies in prolonged battles... and she even teaches her superhero friends how to fight and why.
She's as awesome as the old "New Earth" Superman used to be, teaching by example instead of leading people.
